Our Sales Team: setting you up for success

At Castor, we are committed to a world with faster, smarter, medical research. Our cloud-based software solutions are revolutionizing data capture for academic and commercial clinical researchers worldwide. You have found yourself a company with a true purpose. 

Our inside sales team works across Europe, and the U.S. built out with Business Development Reps, Account Executives, Business Development Managers, and Sales Operations support (including solutions consultants, training and development, and analysts). The sales team’s commitment is to partner with new clients and develop commercial accounts across the clinical research industry. The result? Bringing clinical trials to the 21st century!

What you’ll focus on

As our next Business Development Representative, you will help Castor grow in the EMEA clinical research market. Supporting commercial marketing efforts, you’ll be identifying and engaging new commercial customers, converting both inbound enquiries and outbound sales into annual recurring revenue. 

Accordingly, responsibilities of the role will be as follows;

  • Outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, campaigns and LinkedIn
  • Manage, track and report on all outreach activities and results following Castor expectations
  • Conduct high level conversations with senior clinical executives; handle high numbers of cold calls on a daily basis
  • Work to achieve and exceed a number of set KPIs and targets (weekly & quarterly)
  • Research clinical customers and map decision maker networks
  • Outbound and export leads on a daily basis using company tools
  • Develop an in depth understanding of Castor’s products and features
  • Collaborate in the creation of target lists and sales messages
  • Develop sales materials and share best practice within the team
  • Support in the ongoing development of Marketing to Sales onboarding
  • Grow Castors annual recurring revenue number
  • Collaborate internationally with Head Office colleagues in Amsterdam
  • Support the growth of a successful health tech start-up
  • You will be aware of the Castor quality policy, information security policy, and the procedures from the Quality and Information Security Management system (QISMS)
  • You will be following the Castor quality policy, information security policy, the code of conduct and the procedures from the Quality and Information Security Management system (QISMS)

What you'll bring

  • Passionate about health tech and/or medical technology
  • Experience in B2B software sales
  • Experience of conducting sales calls and proactive outreach
  • Experience of working towards and meeting set KPIs and targets
  • Excellent active listening skills with the ability to absorb and engage with new information
  • Articulate and persuasive oral and written communication skills
  • A self-motivated, solutions-focused and resilient personality
  • The ability to demonstrate and use emotional intelligence during interpersonal interactions and sales meetings
  • Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills, open to learn
  • An accountable approach to your work, responsibilities and self-driven success

It would be good if you had:

  • Experience of working in medical research, life sciences or healthcare sales
  • A solid educational background with a track record of continuous learning
  • An interest in SaaS products and enhancements with technology
  • Relevant understanding of clinical guidelines: ICH-GCP - Good Clinical Practice, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and relevant GXP Regulations and Guidance
