OUR TEAM 

You will  join a marketing team of six (including you) with other key roles in product marketing, digital strategy, marketing operations, brand and design - however we often go beyond our typical ‘swim lanes’ to embrace diverse tasks when the opportunity arises. 

We are supported by a number of consultants to drive further marketing expertise in design, copywriting and digital while we  partner with other Castor teams to leverage deeper industry expertise. We work to core values that ensure close collaboration and teaming.  These are underpinned by a high level of trust, a commitment to transparency, always looking to raise the bar and bringing constructive feedback to achieve growth.  

The marketing team is, just like the rest of Castor, working remote-first. This means we strive to enable asynchronous work as much as possible and have strong respect for the local & flexible working hours of other Castorians. Current marketing members are based in the Netherlands, US, UK and Ireland.

WHAT YOU`LL FOCUS ON

As our Website Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the functionality and UX of the website, evaluating, managing, and optimizing website performance, and developing and maintaining the content management system. This includes creating and improving pages, templates, and conversion points, managing quality assurance and usability, and analyzing customer usage and behavioral data to improve the online customer journey from start to finish and drive better conversion rates.

Website Management

  • Showcasing Castor’s products and solutions in creative, compelling formats that boost time on site.
  • Developing & implementing a UX strategy that creates seamless digital journeys for the target audience. 
  • Supporting the marketing team to enhance Castor’s online presence and drive brand identity.
  • Managing & enhancing integrations with Castor’s marketing automation platform for campaigns. 
  • Evaluate, install, and manage WordPress plugins to enhance website functionality.
  • Monitoring  site performance and quickly addressing any issues or technical problems, bugs or errors

Driving Business Impact

  • Driving lead generation and sales pipeline using specific offers and tactics to convert visitors.
  • Using analytical tools to consistently track and evaluate website performance & business impact.
  • Implementing an effective SEO strategy that drives site performance, & ensures high visibility for SEM.
  • Regularly analyzing & reporting website performance metrics,  using insights to drive campaign strategy.

Project Management

  • Overseeing web projects from conception to completion meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Coordinating with content creators to maintain fresh, compelling, up to date website content
  • Building cross departmental relationships to ensure alignment and coordination of objectives & goals.
  • Championing digital best practices and how to offer excellent digital experiences for our prospects.
  • Establishing and maintaining clear, open lines of communication and feedback with all stakeholders.

Acting Responsibly

  • Ensuring that Castor’s website adheres to all relevant legal, regulatory and industry standards. 

In particular, managing Castor’s website data protection compliance, privacy  & cookie policy procedures.

  • You will be aware of the Castor quality policy, information security policy, and the procedures from the Quality and Information Security Management system (QISMS);
  • You will be following the Castor quality policy, information security policy, the code of conduct and the procedures from the Quality and Information Security Management system (QISMS).
  • Regularly backup website data and implement recovery plans as needed.

WHAT YOU`LL BRING

You’ll definitely have:

  • 4+ years of corporate website management and front-end development experience.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing & maintaining WordPress websites
  • Demonstrated experience in website auditing, SEO and conversion rate optimization
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization tools like MS Clarity, Google Optimize and Optimizely
  • Substantial experience working with Google Analytics (GA4) and, Google Tag Manager
  • Strong understanding of UX, design, analytics testing and information architecture
  • Strong understanding of WordPress CMS, PHP, MySQL, WP Engine,  HTML/CSS and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools - for example Yoast SEO plug in. 
  • Experience with wordpress design & theme tools (Elementor etc).
  • Deep understanding of the marketing and sales funnel, customer journeys, personas, & messaging.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools for image editing and optimization. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; a passion for data and analytics.
  • Extremely well organized, detail-oriented and process-driven with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Strong ability to work within diverse teams
