The main focus of the role
Castor is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our RevOps & BI team. We are building our BI platform from scratch to be used by multiple stakeholders including the commercial organization, management team, and all operational teams.
We are looking for a person who is not afraid to spend 80% of the time writing queries, digging into data requests as well as generating insights from the findings. This person will be key in ensuring the data is always flowing, the data models are correct and the platform is up, enabling our users to find efficient and accurate information.
What you’ll focus on
We’re a hyper-growth company seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join the ride and accelerate your career. You will focus on bringing the data to life, through data manipulation and visualization. You will work side by side with our RevOps Lead to bring actionable insights back to the company. You will do it by:
- Building a BI platform from scratch (together with RevOps Lead);
- Capturing, mapping, and transcribing users’ requests into BI features and dashboards;
- Ensuring the accessibility of the BI platform;
- Gathering, processing, and reviewing data (new and current sets);
- Developing and maintaining SQL queries;
- Understanding the data flows, and data models and spotting opportunities for performance improvement;
- Liaising with stakeholders about commercial insights and recommending improvements;
- Supporting the business insights team with ad hoc improvement projects;
About you
You are passionate, resilient, and results-oriented. You are finishing your Master's study in Data, Computer Science, or fintech fields and ready for the next steps in your career development. Using self-motivation, excellent listening skills, emotional intelligence, and curiosity, you'll ask great questions and provide even better answers. You'll also bring:
Analytical experience working and analyzing large datasets, as well as able to understand all components of an analytical data pipeline;
Impeccable written and spoken communication skills, with exceptional professional fluency in English;
A solutions focussed mentality with an eye for detail, understand not just the what but the how behind queries and requests issued;
Beneficial to have experience utilizing a data warehouse and outcome modeling;
Beneficial to have Data Engineer knowledge/working experience of SQL, query management and/or basic level coding skills (R or Python);
Beneficial if you’ve previously worked with Snowflake, Tableau, Fivetran, Stitch and/or DBT.
