The main focus of the role

As our next Project Implementations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a global team of Project Managers as they deliver our solutions and related services to customers. The Project Implementations Manager is primarily accountable for working closely with the team to make sure all contracted work delivered by the Implementation Team meet or exceed Castor’s defined quality and customer satisfaction targets. 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of all project management activities maintaining a high level of Quality and adherence to QISMS.
  • Providing project management guidance and managerial leadership to the project management team as they deliver services to our clients.
  • Continually monitor all projects delivered by the project managers to ensure they are delivered to the highest quality standards and meet/exceed the customers’ expectations. Work with your team to direct corrective actions as needed.
  • Acts as a point of contact for study level project management escalations.
  • Provides proactive creation and implementation of risk management oversight for all contracted projects.
  • Focus on continuous improvement as it pertains to contracted customer builds and integration deliverables.
  • Develop, document, and govern best practices around successfully managing the project lifecycle.
  • Define, develop, and maintain the SOPs, work instructions, and related collateral for the Implementations team.
  • In collaboration with the Technical Implementation team, ensure the project managers proactively keep their timesheets and project milestones up to date.
  • Develop the onboarding and training plans for newly hired staff and monitor them to ensure that staff learning progress meets expectations.
  • Schedule regular 1-1s with your team providing feedback on their performance, highlighting positive behaviours and areas for development.
  • Conducting performance reviews with each member of your team as per Castor’s performance review cycle.
  • Proactively and continually assess staff skills compared to present and future market needs and address hiring needs as appropriate.
  • Act as the first level of contact for project management best practices and cross-team efforts:
    o Coordinate work assigned to the Integrations Team.
    o Provide scoping estimates and Statements of Work as assigned.
    o Participate in pre-sales meetings as needed.
    o Collaborate with Product Training as required with the Product Training Specialist.

What you’ll bring

You’ll definitely have:

  • 7+ years of experience working in Client Services, Project Management and/or Professional Services.
  • A background or strong understanding of medical research and clinical trials, where technology meets science.
  • Working experience or knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) products.
  • Solid leadership skills -supportive, accountable, decisive, courageous, and motivational.
  • Demonstrated maturity and highly effective techniques of advocacy, persuasion, presentation, conflict/escalation management, and communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgment and ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Continually measures/monitors the quality of work products and communications from their teams and holds them accountable for outputs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including cultivating positive cross-functional working relationships while demonstrating patience, flexibility, consideration, diplomacy, tact, and confidence.
  • A collaborative, agile, resourceful, consistently engaged, and a roll-up-the-sleeves, “I can do it” attitude who is consistently accountable, dependable, and mature.
