Website Manager & Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

Job description

Castor is looking for a talented Website Manager/CRO Specialist to join our growing marketing team to drive major impact in a fun and exciting company with significant growth potential. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing customer usage and behavioral data to understand and guide the online customer journey from start to finish and drive better conversion rates across the Castor website.

Our ideal candidate has experience using data analytics and creative insight to improve website and UX engagement to drive measurable revenue growth. They should be able to develop engaging web pages, on-boarding experiences, and user interfaces to attract new prospects.

The main challenges for Conversion Rate Optimization

  • Own the Website: Manage updates to Wordpress website, provide a strong design sense, including knowing the latest modern web design trends and best practices and how to execute compelling visual user experiences

  • Project Management: Drive strategy, management and execution of web and conversion optimization efforts from conception to completion. Work across Marketing, Design and Product Development teams to build webpages and conversion assets, manage CMS and own performance goals

  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Measure, evaluate and report on all aspects of web performance including experiments, metrics, timelines and outcomes. Recommend, implement and optimize testing and web optimization tools and technologies

  • Coordination with Content and SEO: Partner with the content and SEO team to hone in on the right content strategy for our target personas and execute on that strategy

  • Strategic Initiatives: As needed, pick up and drive other strategic initiatives

The daily responsibilities

  • Create and manage site optimization projects and priorities

  • Set up tests using CRO tools such as VWO or Optimizely

  • Analyze data, heat maps, and user recordings in order to generate hypotheses and design landing pages to AB test

  • Improve conversion rates by leveraging industry software to translate insights about users and customer segments into a compelling web / mobile / app user experience

  • Develop business cases at a strategic and tactical level to ensure the right tests are being conducted in the correct sequence as part of our strategic optimization strategy and roadmap

  • Work closely with Marketing and Development to ensure email and campaign asset design, segmentation, messaging are aligned with the website quality and its design and functionality

  • Manage quality assurance and usability


To be successful in this role you will need...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a technical field

  • 4+ years of corporate website management, front-end development, website auditing and conversion rate optimization experience

  • Prior work experience at a software/technology company

  • Experience with conversion rate optimization tools like Google Optimize and Optimizely, AB Tasty, VWO

  • Substantial experience working with Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager

  • Strong understanding of UX, design, analytics testing and information architecture

  • Strong understanding of WordPress CMS, HTML/CSS and JavaScript, basic knowledge of PHP is a bonus

  • Experience with landing page designing tools (Unbounce, Instapage, etc)

  • Deep understanding of the marketing and sales funnel, customer journeys, personas, messaging and positioning

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; a passion for data and analytics

  • Extremely well organized, detail-oriented and process-driven with a positive and proactive attitude

  • Strong ability to work within diverse teams
