Who is Castor?

Castor is a leading cloud-based clinical data platform working with some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, biopharmas, and renowned academic institutes.

We simplify the clinical trial process, from recruitment to analysis, with user-friendly, patient-centric technology. Our mission is to bring medical research into the digital age. Why? Because medical research is still largely run using free-text, paper, and legacy technology.

How is Castor supporting the Coronavirus crisis?

Castor has joined the global fight against the Coronavirus by making our research data capture system available for free for all COVID-19 research projects. Castor is supporting more than 200 COVID-19 studies across the world, including the World Health Organization’s SOLIDARITY trial.

The opportunity: growing Castor’s mid-market accounts

At Castor, we have built a brand in the eClinical space that’s universally loved and highly rated (with a +50 NPS). With our recent $12M Series A, we’re now ready to take that foundation and bring it to the main stage. You will unlock Castor’s commercial potential by developing and leading account growth in the mid-market and enterprise segments with our decentralized trial technology. 

What you’ll do

As Director of Business Development, you’ll sell our virtual and decentralized trial technology to clinical researchers across Europe. Landing new customer accounts with biopharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech companies, you’ll ensure that our top-rated eClinical technology supports as many medical innovations as possible. You’ll do this by:

  • Owning your quota, prospecting to leads, and building a strong pipeline of new accounts
  • Identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing targeted new business opportunities
  • Working with solutions consultants to deliver value-based proposals and product demos
  • Manage and upsell your commercial accounts

What you’ll bring

As a successful business development professional with experience cultivating new business deals in the commercial clinical research space, you’ll help our customers make the best decisions for their patients and clinical trials whilst contributing to Castor’s international growth. You'll also bring:

  • eClinical sales experience (e.g. EDC, DCT, CTMS, RBM, eTMF, eConsent, eCOA or ePRO)
  • A proven ability to develop clear and tailored proposals for commercial accounts
  • A consultative approach to selling software solutions or services, managing full sales cycles
  • A proactive approach to targets and confident communication skills to develop and close deals
  • The drive, self-awareness, and flexibility to work in and contribute to a high-energy startup
