With its user-friendly technology Castor EDC helps prestigious research institute capture high quality, standardized data. Our goal is to ensure the world’s research data becomes reusable and machine readable. We are already a major player in the Dutch Academic world and are seeing a growing interest from the commercial space. As our first US Commercial Sales Manager, you will  help us accelerate revenue growth and hone our strategy. With your drive to succeed, understanding of clinical research, and commercial talent,you will play a pivotal role in establishing Castor EDC in the United States.

The main objectives for the Commercial Sales Manager

  • Increase ARR from commercial healthcare organizations

  • Identify and close new prospects by building a network within the commercial healthcare space

  • Be a driving force in defining Castor EDC’s commercial strategy

The daily responsibilities

Your responsibility is to manage and cultivate relationships with commercial healthcare institutes in the US and drive our revenue through the digitalization of their clinical research. This is a new role in which you will, together with the Head of Sales and CEO, be crucial in building a successful sales strategy that could be deployed in other regions.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Manage existing -and cultivate new- relationships with US commercial healthcare institutes

  • Market Castor EDC’s growing product portfolio and features to your customer base

  • Build and execute a successful sales strategy that drives revenue growth and customer success

  • Advise the organization on market trends and developments within your segment

  • Represent Castor EDC at events


To be successful in this role, you must feel comfortable with building great relationships and identifying sales opportunities. You understand the decision-making process within commercial organizations and know how to influence it. Furthermore:

  • You have a degree in medicine/health or equivalent
  • You have 4+ years experience in Sales or Account Management, of which several are in a field sales role
  • You have experience building executive relations within the commercial healthcare space, an existing network is a plus
  • You can build a pipeline and work towards targets
  • You are a team player who knows how to collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, and Product teams to optimize processes
  • You can never stop talking about ways to increase the effectiveness of clinical research
  • You are native English speaker and have a deep understanding of the healthcare industry in US
