Business Development Representative

We are one of the fastest growing HealthTech companies, having tripled our customer base in the last year. Our current growth has been fueled mostly by word of mouth of happy customers in the Netherlands thanks to an 85+ Net Promoter Score. Our goal is to ensure that research data becomes reusable and machine readable globally. To take Castor to the next level and to achieve real impact in medical research every lead has to become an new customer. As our Business Development Representative you know like no other how to convert incoming leads. With your understanding of the market you build lasting relations that minimize churn and help revenue growth.


The main objectives

  • Convert incoming leads into paying customers
  • Up- and crossell existing commercial and non-commercial customers.
  • Identify gaps/improvements in our process and take ownership of necessary changes


The daily responsibilities

You will be part of our inside sales team in Amsterdam and focus on expanding our paying customer base as well as increasing revenue from your existing customers. By representing Castor EDC at conferences and events you will be able to identify new opportunities in the market and find ways to improve existing relationships. As the is team fairly new we will look for you to help design and own parts of the sales process. You will work with customers, partners and colleagues from all over the world and occasional travel is required.


Further responsibilities include:

  • Convert incoming leads from a global customer base into paying customers

  • Lead sales cycles from beginning to end, giving demo’s and negotiating contracts

  • Up- and crossell into your existing customerbase

  • Successfully provide demo’s for all products in our portfolio


Requirements

You are a quick learner and not afraid to experiment. You have a positive mindset, are  self-motivated and curious. Furthermore:

  • You have a background in healthcare and HBO+ degree

  • You have 2+ years of B2B sales experience

  • Excellent writing skills and highly articulate

  • Professional, determined, and results oriented

  • Business fluency in English is required with additional language preferred

  • Ability to empathize with and understand the needs of medical researchers
