Who is Castor?

Castor is a leading cloud-based clinical data platform working with some of the world’s largest medical device companies, biopharma, and renowned academic institutes.

We simplify the clinical trial process, from recruitment to analysis, with user-friendly, patient-centric technology. Our mission is to bring medical research into the digital age. Why? Because medical research is still largely run using free-text, paper, and legacy technology.

Our self-service platform enables our users to run remote, device enabled, patient-centric trials. By helping our users capture high-quality data and making it machine-readable, we are fundamentally changing the flawed evidence-based medicine process.

How is Castor supporting the Coronavirus crisis?

Castor has joined the global fight against the Coronavirus by making our research data capture system available for free for all COVID-19 research projects. Castor supports more than 250 COVID-19 studies across the world, including the World Health Organization’s SOLIDARITY trial.

What you’ll do

Joining our in-house Product and Design team, you’ll collaborate with Engineering, Customer Success, and the rest of the Product team to ensure Castor’s health tech products support faster, smarter medical research. You’ll do this by:

• Leading requirements gathering efforts and creating user stories that fulfill the product vision and goals
• Maintaining a clean and prioritised backlog
• Optimizing the value of the work the engineering team delivers
• Collaborating proactively with research, design, QA, and engineering teams throughout the product development process
• Being the main point of contact for your customers for product-related issues
• Overseeing product implementation for new customers
• Supporting the sales team with product demos

What you’ll bring

As one of our Product Owners, you’ll bring innovative, analytical, and user-centric thinking in all you do. You’re a master tactician and a fan of both open communication and collaboration. You’ll also bring:

• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
• Fluency in English and Dutch
• A self-starter and hands-on mentality, with the adaptability to thrive in a startup environment

It would be good if you had:

• Experience working with SaaS products
• Hands-on experience with software product ownership (or similar)
• Experience in the life sciences sector
