Academic Account Manager (Benelux)

Job description



Castor's SaaS products already power 4,000 clinical trials across 90 countries, and, having just secured a $12 million Series A investment, we're looking for an Account Manager to drive our academic accounts forward.


Who is Castor?

Our self-service platform enables our users to run remote, device enabled, patient-centric trials. By helping our users capture high-quality data and making it machine-readable, we are fundamentally changing the flawed evidence-based medicine process.


How is Castor supporting the Coronavirus crisis?

Castor has joined the global fight against the Coronavirus by making our research data capture system available for free for all COVID-19 research projects. Castor is supporting more than 250 COVID-19 studies across the world, including the World Health Organization’s SOLIDARITY trial.


What you’ll do

Joining our Customer Success team, you’ll be operating as the lead contact for our (Benelux) Academic Accounts. Overseeing all customer account management, you’ll maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with University Medical Centres and Research Bureaus, identifying upsell, and closing new business opportunities. You’ll also:


  • Onboard new accounts and develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts
  • Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the entire customer experience
  • Manage tenders or other incoming requests, negotiate contracts, and close agreements
  • Collaborating with the Sales team to achieve quotas


What you’ll bring

As an advocate for the success of our academic researchers, you’ll bring proven experience in creating initiatives and processes which drive customer engagement and happiness. Being an excellent communicator, planner, organizer, and presenter, you’ll provide rewarding and service-oriented experiences, ensuring we truly maximize the potential of each account. You’ll also have:


  • Extensive experience with Consulting, Account Management, Sales or Customer Success in Saas, IT or Healthcare
  • A strong understanding of metrics and best practices including NPS, renewals, and subscriptions
  • A self-starting attitude, business-savviness, and excellent negotiation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills in Dutch
